Internet from the Stone Age. A market full of telco zombies. 27M UK households, 7M locked in contracts, £1B overpaid every year. Getting out? Costs extra. Service? A phone labyrinth with the final boss called “hold the line.” Cuckoo wanted to blow it all up – with speed, fairness, and service that actually serves.
THE STATEMENT
If you’re gonna do net, do it right. Monzo killed the bank snoozers. Octopus fried the energy giants. Cuckoo? Pulls the plug on ISPs. The approach: If it starts fast, stays fast, and does good – it damn well better feel good too. So we built a brand and design system that looks like a premium tech player. Three traits: Unstoppable. Cheeky. Real. A custom design system – “Yolk.” Adaptive. Modular. Always in motion. UX/UI so smooth even fiber gets jealous.
THE RESUlT
A provider that isn’t one. Logo? Amped. Typography? Hits hard. Visuals? Moving like the audience. Motion with intent. A website that sells and sparks joy. An identity that took Cuckoo from scrappy start-up to category killer. Cuckoo now? UK’s Best Broadband (2021 & 2022). FTTP on monthly terms. Same-day installs in 24h. And 1% of every bill funding internet access where there is none. This isn’t a provider. This is an internet uprising.
